A Day Well Spent at T’Gallant

Posted by

T’Gallant in the Mornington Peninsula offered great food, great wine, and great atmosphere.

Our team decided to get away from the city grind and drive down the Mornington Peninsula to visit one of our favourite wineries – T’Gallant. Their moscatos and rosés are extremely popular with our customers, so we thought we would head down there to get the ultimate T’Gallant experience and see what all the fuss was about.

The weather was perfect. Not a cloud in the sky. We sat down to an amazing lunch of wood-fired pizzas and coffee. The café was semi-outdoors, which gave us an extraordinary view of the vineyards. We met a few regulars, one that often plays guitar at the winery every second week. We weren’t surpised that this little haven was their frequent watering hole.

After lunch, we moved through to the wine tasting room, which was filled with an impeccable variety. We met Adam, we leads all the cellar room tastings. He discussed the winery, location, history and showed us all that T'Gallant had to offer. what the tasting room had to offer. We sampled Juliet Pinot Noir 2014, Pink Moscato 2014 and Juno Pinot Noir 2013.

My all-time favourite was the Pink Moscato 2014, which is also a best seller on Wine Online. The pink Moscato has flavours of toffee apple, sherbet with a lingering watermelon zing. Fresh, light bubbles balance the enticing sweetness. It pairs perfectly with cheese and fruit.

The afternoon involved walking around the beautiful vineyards, followed by afternoon tea (coffee and a chocolate brownie) by an open fire. T'Gallant is an excellent little escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
